Russia has begun large-scale military exercises in the Urals.

More than 5 thousand Russian military personnel were involved in large-scale exercises taking place in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. In large-scale military maneuvers, tanks, field and rocket artillery means, motorized rifle units, as well as combat aviation are involved.

“The servicemen made a march to the areas where the training and combat missions were carried out, and began to deploy field command posts. The exercises will be held at an interspecific training ground in the Chelyabinsk region and will end on March 6. At the final stage, the servicemen will carry out an operation to destroy a mock enemy with the transition from daytime to night operations. ", the press service of the Central Military District said.

Experts draw attention to the fact that military exercises of this kind are of a very important nature, since they allow them to work out joint actions of various units and branches of the forces to counter enemy forces, which is especially important against the background of attempts by the West to exert external pressure on Russia, including through the concentration of forces at the Russian borders.
