Iranian missiles FADAK-2 appeared in service with Ukraine

For the first time, Iranian FADAK-2 missiles of 2022 production were seen at the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

These munitions are used as unguided aircraft missiles when striking areas, and therefore, the version that the Ukrainian military received such munitions as trophies is implausible. Judging by the fragments of these missiles being discovered, as well as photographs, Ukraine has hundreds, if not thousands, of such munitions. Moreover, the latter were not transferred by the so-called international coalition, since the Iranian allies in Yemen and Lebanon do not have combat aircraft.

In the presented pictures you can see that we are talking about 122 mm. unguided missiles FADAK-2. Judging by the markings, the missiles were produced in 2022, i.e., after the start of the Russian special operation. The missiles themselves are the Iranian version of the S-8OF unguided missiles, and their use is mainly limited to combat aircraft.

So far, there are no official statements from Iran on this matter. However, this is not the first time that Iranian-made ammunition has been found in the Ukrainian army. In particular, earlier artillery ammunition, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers, etc. were found in Ukraine.
