Serial production of the latest Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles has begun in Russia.

Successful tests of the newest Russian Zircon hypersonic missile allowed Russian designers to begin mass production of these weapons. Considering that it is planned to equip not only ships, but also submarines with Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, we are talking about the production of several thousand hypersonic missiles, which no other country in the world can boast of today, including China, which is armed with several hundred hypersonic missiles.

"The serial production of" Zircons "is already underway at NPO Mashinostroyenia, although state tests of this product from a surface carrier will continue.", - reports the information source of the TASS agency.

Despite the fact that the mass production of missiles has already begun, testing of these weapons will continue, as the Russian military wants to make sure that hypersonic missiles can hit various types of targets completely without fail and are guaranteed to be able to destroy them. Moreover, it is expected that in the near future the Zircon missile will also be launched at the maximum range in order to establish the accuracy of the defeat.

The Zircon hypersonic missiles will be able to enter service with the submarine fleet only in a few years.
