Over the territory of Syria, a previously unknown unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down.

Today afternoon in social networks there were reports of the destruction of an unknown aircraft in the airspace of Syria. Initially it was reported that we are talking about a combat aircraft, however, later the information was clarified - an unknown UAV was shot down by an object.

At the moment, experts could not identify the identity of the unmanned aerial vehicle, however, judging by the inscriptions found on the wreckage of the fuselage, it may belong to the United States or other partners of this country in the North Atlantic Alliance. There were suggestions that we could talk about the Turkish drone, but Ankara has not yet confirmed this information.

“Judging by the destruction, the drone was hit by fire from an anti-aircraft gun. This could be either an anti-aircraft installation of one of the terrorist groups, or the same Pantsir-S air defense system, which is in service with the Syrian military ”, - the expert Avia.pro marks.

Judging by the size and design of the unmanned aerial vehicle, it is most likely a reconnaissance drone, however, previously similar UAVs over Syria were not noticed.
