Three Tu-22 bombers spotted over southern Belarus

Three Tu-22 long-range bombers spotted over southern Belarus.

A few hours ago, three Tu-22 long-range bombers of an unidentified modification entered the airspace over the southern part of Belarus at once. According to Belarusian media resources, over the past day this is at least the fourth Tu-22 bomber seen over Belarus.

According to the data presented, at least one Tu-19 long-range bomber was seen near Bobruisk around 20:22 local time (coinciding with Moscow time - ed. note). The latter moved in an easterly direction. A few hours later, three more Tu-22M3 long-range bombers were spotted over the southern part of Belarus, residents of the Gomel and Mogilev regions of Belarus report this. It is noted that the planes flew at a fairly high altitude, but it was possible to see that the latter were moving towards the Ukrainian border. At the same time, it is noted that they remained over the region for a short time.

There are no official statements on this matter, however, the appearance of Tu-22 long-range supersonic bombers over Belarus has not been observed for quite a long period of time.
