Former Ukrainian parliamentarian Nadiya Savchenko, pardoned by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2016, has recorded a video address denying rumors that she was killed in a strike by a Russian FAB-3000 air bomb. In the video, she stated:
"I am alive! And I will live in spite of all enemies, just like our Ukraine lives. Hope never dies! Until we meet again."
These words were a response to the messages about its liquidation that spread in Russian Telegram channels and social networks.
Rumors of Savchenko's death began to spread after a statement by Russian military blogger Vladimir Romanov, who reported on his Telegram channel on May 11, 2025, that she allegedly died as a result of a strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces on the headquarters of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Nadiya Savchenko became a well-known figure after her arrest in Russia in 2014 for her involvement in the deaths of Russian journalists in Donbas. In 2016, she was pardoned by Putin and returned to Ukraine, where she continued her political and military career. After the start of the Special Military Operation (SVO) in 2022, Savchenko returned to the front. This is not the first time that her death has been reported without confirmation: similar rumors have appeared before, but each time they were denied.
