In the Kursk direction, the operational and tactical situation continues to be complex and contradictory. According to the Telegram channel "Russian Weapon", Ukrainian troops pulled up additional motorized infantry reserves to the settlements of Plekhovo and Makhnovka, after which they began active attempts to storm the positions of the Russian army in the Belitsky operational direction, including in the area of the settlements of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Spalnoye.
The enemy relies on long-range artillery systems of 155 mm caliber with a barrel length of 52 calibers, which allows for strikes at long distances and the destruction of targets located deep in Russian defensive positions. In addition, Ukrainian forces are actively using forested areas in the Solomatino-Shulhivshchyna and Makhovshchyna areas for the covert movement of mobile assault groups, which makes it difficult for Russian unmanned reconnaissance systems to detect them.
The main objective of the Ukrainian army is to block highway 38K-028 west of Ulanok. This highway is an important supply artery for Russian strongholds in Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Fanaseyevka. If the block is successful, Ukrainian forces will be able to seriously disrupt the logistical supply chains of Russian units in this area.
