NATO does not consider the use of F-16s on Russian territory an escalation

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the use of alliance weapons, including F-16 fighter jets, on Russian territory will not be considered an escalation of the conflict. The announcement comes amid ongoing fighting in Ukraine and rising tensions between Russia and Western countries.

According to Stoltenberg, NATO sees its mission as supporting Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that the use of weapons provided by the alliance countries is aimed at protecting and supporting the Ukrainian armed forces in their confrontation with Russian troops.

Nevertheless, Russia is ready to respond harshly to such actions of the West.
