On the night of May 12 in Mali, a group of local military, foreign mercenaries and units from NATO countries tried to arrange a coup d'état in the country. Nevertheless, probably thanks to the forces of the Wagner PMC stationed on the territory of this African republic, the plans of the West were thwarted. This is reported by the authorities of the African country.

At the moment, the authorities of Mali suspect France of what happened, noting that only this country is interested in a change of power on the territory of an African state.

“The coup attempt took place on the night of May 11-12 and was “supported by the Western state,” follows from a statement by the executive branch of Mali. An important detail: these soldiers were “supported by the Western state,” says Abdoulaye Maiga, who says that their goal was to “break the dynamic of rebirth” of Mali. No country is mentioned, but in the coming hours all eyes will probably be on France. Yesterday, another partner of Mali, Paris became the sworn enemy of the Assimi Goita regime. A few months ago, units of the Wagner PMC were transferred to the territory of Mali, as reported by the authorities of this African republic. This does not exclude the possibility that it was the mercenaries who helped the government forces of Mali to avoid a coup d'état.
