The State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus reported a significant increase in the number of military units deployed in Poland and Lithuania in close proximity to the borders of Belarus. According to him, the number of Polish forces deployed in the east of the country under the pretext of strengthening border security has already reached 17 people. This includes not only ground forces, but also specialized units intended for defensive and offensive operations.
In addition, Poland continues to form a new mechanized division, which, according to the Belarusian leadership, can be used for larger-scale operations in the east of the country. Recently, relations between Warsaw and Minsk have become significantly worse, which has forced both sides to increase military activity in border areas.
Germany has also reportedly stepped up efforts to form the 45th Tank Brigade, which will be stationed in Lithuania. The move is part of NATO's overall strategy to strengthen the alliance's eastern flank amid tense relations with Russia and Belarus.
