The Russian Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile systems turned out to be the most effective weapons in the fight against drones.

Despite the fact that the Russian Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems “lit up” quite a bit when destroying air targets and missiles in Ukraine and on the territory of the Donbass republics, it became known that the unique Russian complex is almost a record holder by the number of unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed in a little more than a month.

According to the data provided by the official Telegram channel RT in Russian, since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the Pantsirs have destroyed more than 300 drones and dozens of military aircraft. According to the official data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on the morning of March 30, 2022, 321 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by means of air defense and airborne forces. This implies that, in the vast majority of cases, it is the Pantsirs who are behind their destruction, provided that the information published by the Russian news agency "RT", correspond to reality and are reliable.

Experts, in turn, note that any other result from the Pantsir-S air defense missile system should not have been expected, since these weapons were developed specifically to combat drones and, apparently, fully justified their purpose.

It should be noted that the Pantsir complexes also demonstrated the highest efficiency in Syria and Libya.
