Belarus may close borders for Russia.

Today, Belarus is one of the few states in Europe that has still not closed the borders with any of the neighboring countries, despite the fact that Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia have closed their entry into its territory. Nevertheless, official Minsk may close the border crossing of Belarus for citizens of the Russian Federation against the backdrop of a decision of the Russian government to close its borders, including with this western state, thereby blocking the movement of road, freight and air transport through its territory.

An official decision in Belarus on this issue has not yet been taken, however, the reason for such drastic measures may be the inconsistency of the decision of the Russian government to close the borders with Belarus, especially considering the fact that we are talking about the Union State.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had already criticized Russia for such actions, after which it was possible to resolve the situation, however, the re-closure of the borders could lead to measures on the part of Minsk.

“As the Russian prime minister said yesterday, they have a fire: not everyone in the media gave it. They have a difficult situation. So we need to be afraid of this situation. Why are you afraid of Belarus? Moreover, with our control and attitude towards this problem. Let's do it together - no, shut it down ”- said Lukashenko.

It should be clarified that according to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, the closure of the country's borders applies to all persons who are not citizens, while the borders will be open to certain categories of Russian citizens.
