Unidentified people attempted to hijack an Israeli airline El Al plane by hacking into the aircraft's communications system.

Yesterday, an Israeli El Al airline plane flying from Thailand to Israel encountered a serious incident. Unknown persons managed to hack the aircraft's communication system and tried to divert it from its original course. However, thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of the pilots, who quickly switched to alternative communication channels and checked the route with the air traffic controller, the attacker's attempt was neutralized.

Experts suggest that the goal of the false controllers could be to direct the plane either into the air defense zone or to land for subsequent capture. It is believed that the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement, known for their weapons, including cruise and ballistic missiles, and possibly air defense systems, may be behind the incident. Also in Somalia, the involvement of the unrecognized state of Somaliland, known for maritime piracy, is suspected, which could indicate an attempt to reach a new level of their illegal activities.

In response to the incident, an El Al spokesman reassured the public, saying that the Somali Civil Aviation Authority had warned international airlines of possible communications disruptions in the region and recommended the use of alternative communication channels. Thanks to the professionalism of the crew, the situation was brought under control and the incident did not affect the safety of the flight.
