An unknown aircraft tried to approach Zmeiny Island from an easterly direction.

A few hours ago, spacecraft detected an unknown aircraft approaching Zmeiny Island. The latter flew from a southeasterly direction, moving towards Snake Island.

On the presented satellite image, you can see the location of the aircraft relative to the island. Apparently, the aircraft was located approximately 150 kilometers from the island, however, neither the type of aircraft nor its ownership is still unknown. It is noteworthy that the resources that track the aircraft did not record any aircraft flying in the area. This indicates that the flight of the indicated aircraft was carried out with the transponder turned off.

Experts believe that we are talking about a NATO reconnaissance aircraft, which could well monitor the situation against the backdrop of the withdrawal of the Russian military from Snake Island, as previously reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. However, no official comments and statements on this subject have yet been made.

A little earlier it became known that an unknown combat aircraft inflicted a series of 6 bombing strikes on Snake Island.
