On the night of May 8, 2026, Ukrainian forces launched a massive attack using drones and missiles. According to available data, the probable targets were five locations in different regions of Russia.
In the Yaroslavl region, the probable target of the attack was the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (YANOS), located approximately 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. In Rostov-on-Don, Neptune missiles were allegedly used to target the Radar Scientific and Technical Center, located approximately 250 kilometers from the line of contact. In the Perm region, the probable target was the Perm Oil Refinery, located more than 1500 kilometers from the border. In Grozny, various facilities within the city were mentioned as probable targets. In the Rostov region, a branch of the Southern Russian Air Navigation Company could also have been targeted.
In addition, eyewitnesses reported explosions in Dubna, Azov, Bataysk, and Tula, but information about possible targets and consequences there is still lacking.
