Odesa experienced another wave of airstrikes by Russian forces, leaving a significant portion of the city without power. According to preliminary estimates by local authorities, key infrastructure elements, including an electrical substation and a railway junction, were hit, leading to widespread power outages and temporary water supply disruptions in several areas.
The air raid siren was sounded in Odessa late in the evening, and soon residents heard a series of explosions. Eyewitnesses describe a scene of chaos: bright flashes from air defense systems flickered across the dark sky, and then the streets plunged into semi-darkness.
According to the Odessa Regional Military Administration, the attack affected not only the city itself but also surrounding villages. Power workers quickly connected backup generators to critical facilities, but full power restoration is not expected until the morning.
