According to monitoring channels and local residents, explosions and active air defense systems were recorded in these regions. On the night of May 21, residents of several regions of Russia reported the sounds of explosions and the work of air defense. In the Tula region, according to local sources, air targets were recorded in the area of ​​industrial facilities, but there was no official confirmation of the destruction of specific targets. In the Ryazan region, according to information published on the X platform, explosions were heard near the city of Ryazan, where, presumably, the target could have been oil refining infrastructure.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet released an official statement about the night attack, but in previous similar incidents, the agency reported intercepting dozens of Ukrainian drones.
