At night, Ukraine tried to attack 7 regions of Russia

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported a massive attack of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the territory of the country that occurred this night. According to official data published by TASS, air defense systems successfully dealt with the threat, destroying a total of 25 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones.

The attack affected seven Russian regions, including Kursk (11 UAVs), Belgorod (7 UAVs), Moscow (2 UAVs), Bryansk (1 UAV), Leningrad (1 UAV), Tula (1 UAV) and Orel (2 UAVs) regions. Each of the intercepted or destroyed drones posed a potential threat to the security and infrastructure of the regions.

Particular attention is drawn to the incident in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where, according to its governor, drones attacked a fuel and energy complex facility in the Kstov industrial zone. The attack led to a fire at one of the oil refineries.

The air defense response to this series of attacks demonstrates Russia's willingness and ability to protect its airspace from airborne threats.
