New model aircraft from CAI

Central Aero-Hydrodynamic Institute engaged in the development of a fundamentally new model airplanes

Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. NOT. Zhukovsky began to develop a fundamentally new type of aircraft for civil aviation. The general director of the Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Boris Aleshin, announced this on 27 September. According to him, new technologies will improve the economic efficiency and productivity of the new aviation by up to sixty percent. This will take about fifteen years. As Alyoshin put it, by 2020 we will be able to see the drawing of the new technology and the beginning of its implementation.

The development and application of a new principle of flight - this scheme is called "flying wing" - Aleshin puts on a new generation of engineers. It is learned that the new aerodynamic configuration involves a fundamental change in the engine. In the future it is planned to split the engine into smaller parts and to introduce directly into the wing.

However, the main achievement of this development Aleshin calls the need for full re-equipment and automation of all aircraft manufacturing industry. The new technology will require from them the latest equipment and automatic modes.

Currently, the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. NOT. Zhukovsky is engaged in the development and production of demonstration models of the new aerodynamic scheme.

Boris Aleshin is sure that with the help of this development the old aviation schemes will finally be a thing of the past, giving way to ergonomic and economical production methods.
