Aircraft designers are beginning to create a new Russian strategic bomber.

On the eve of the afternoon, the Interfax news and news agency published data that the appearance and main technical characteristics of the newest Russian strategic bomber PAK DA (Perspective Aviation Complex of Long-Range Aviation - editor's note) approved that allows aircraft manufacturers to proceed directly to the very process of creating this unique aircraft.

"All contract documents necessary for the production of samples were signed"- Interfax reports, citing its own source.

It is assumed that the first photos of the concept of the newest strategic bomber will appear in the near future. According to experts, it will be an enlarged version of the C-70 “Hunter” unmanned aerial vehicle, but with significantly extended options.

Earlier it was reported that the newest project of the PAK DA will combine the capabilities of all the strategic bomber-missile carriers that are in service with the VKS, in particular, we are talking about the Tu-22М3, Tu-95 and Tu-160 “White Swan”. However, later there was information that the newest bomber will be able to fly exclusively at subsonic speed.

The first flight of the PAK DA should take place over the next 5-6 years, while bomber production will begin by the end of the next decade.
