On the night of September 10, the Russian Federation was subjected to a large-scale drone attack, which targeted nine regions at once, including the Moscow region. One of the drones involved in the attack was shot down by air defense forces, after which its debris fell on the territory of the Zhukovsky International Airport in the Moscow region. According to preliminary data, serious material damage was avoided; emergency services are working at the scene.
The attack on the capital region was part of a larger operation, during which drone strikes affected the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Kursk and other regions. Drones launched from Ukrainian territory targeted both civilian and military infrastructure. However, thanks to the prompt actions of the air defense, most of the drones were neutralized, reducing possible damage to a minimum.
