The Romanian Defense Ministry reported finding fragments of a Russian drone near the border with Ukraine. The fragments were found near the village of Periprava in Tulcea County.

According to the Romanian military, the incident occurred on the morning of September 8, when a Russian drone violated Romanian airspace.

At the scene of the incident, specialists from the Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with employees of the Romanian intelligence service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out search operations, during which fragments of the drone were found.

At the moment, the Romanian Ministry of Defense is clarifying the circumstances of the incident and examining the debris found. The official statement of the department emphasizes that further actions will be taken depending on the results of the investigation.
