Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov commented on the situation in his official statement, stating:

"Tonight, air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defense repelled a terrorist attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Volgograd region. A fire was detected at an oil depot in Uryupinsk as a result of the UAV's debris falling."

According to him, firefighters and emergency services, as well as municipal staff, are on the scene fighting the fire and coordinating efforts. Residents of buildings near the oil depot are being evacuated to ensure safety, and a temporary accommodation center (TAC) has been set up at the Uryupinskaya Hotel Municipal Unitary Enterprise. According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties, but the situation remains under the control of emergency services.
