A fragment of a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), shot down by an air defense system, fell on the territory of the Vasilyok kindergarten in Domodedovo near Moscow. The incident, which occurred as part of a massive drone attack on the Moscow region, did not result in damage or casualties. Children and teachers were quickly evacuated to the basement of the building, which made it possible to avoid a tragedy. The event caused concern among residents and highlighted the vulnerability of civilian facilities in the context of the escalation of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian regions.
It is noted that thanks to the rapid response of the staff, all children and employees were transferred to a safe place. There were no casualties, the building was not damaged. Emergency services arrived at the scene, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police, who cordoned off the area and seized UAV fragments for analysis.
The incident in Domodedovo was part of a wave of strikes aimed at the capital region. However, the fall of debris on the territory of a kindergarten caused panic among residents.
