It is known that the flight recorder was at a depth of about 32 meters - it was discovered thanks to special equipment that caught the signal.

To date, the cause of the crash is considered to be a technical malfunction, however, the circumstances under which the plane could not return to the airport of departure and fell into the sea are still unknown. It should be clarified that as a result of the tragedy, all 189 people on board, including passengers and crew members, died. The tragedy occurred 14 minutes after the plane took off from Jakarta International Airport.
