A reinforced concrete bridge collapsed on the Crimean road Dzhankoy - Maslovo. According to the publication "Baza", the incident occurred when a truck loaded with 21 tons of carrots was moving along the bridge. The truck driver reported that the load in the back significantly exceeded the load capacity of the structure, designed for 18 tons. It should be noted that this refutes the previously emerging assumptions that sabotage could be hidden behind the collapse of the bridge.
The bridge could not withstand the load: first, the main part of the structure collapsed under the weight of the truck, and then a passenger car fell into the resulting hole. The drivers of both vehicles were injured and taken to the hospital for examination and treatment.
The consequences of the accident were serious: the collapse of the bridge caused damage to the power grid and the railway track passing underneath, which paralyzed traffic in this section. Due to the damage, six commuter trains were cancelled, and repair crews have already begun restoring communications and assessing the damage.
