The Telegram channel "Kupol Rossii" has issued a red alert for drone attacks in the southern direction. According to the channel, the threat extends from Donetsk, Volnovakha, and further through Matveyev Kurgan to Mariupol and Taganrog.
There has been no official announcement of a state of emergency from regional authorities or the Ministry of Emergency Situations at this time. A red alert level typically indicates a high probability of attack and requires citizens to immediately seek shelter or windowless spaces.
As a reminder, a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, announced by US President Donald Trump, went into effect on the morning of May 9. Previously, Ukrainian forces launched massive drone strikes against Russian regions, including the Rostov region (Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don), as well as the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). Earlier, an attack on the Southern Russia Air Navigation building in Rostov-on-Don disrupted air traffic at 13 airports in the south.
There is currently no official information about the start of a new wave of drone attacks.
