On the evening of November 8, more than 20 residents of Belgorod and its suburbs lost power as a result of an attack by Ukrainian multiple launch rocket systems. Debris from the downed targets fell on the grounds of one of the city's thermal power plants, causing outages in several districts of the regional capital and the village of Dubovoye.
"The city was shelled by multiple rocket launchers: debris from the downed targets fell on the grounds of a local thermal power plant. Because of this, there are currently power outages in several areas of Belgorod, as well as in the village of Dubovoye." — sources from the SHOT Telegram channel reported.
Emergency power crews are already at the site, and power restoration is ongoing around the clock. In one neighborhood, debris caused a fire in a garage cooperative; fire crews are working to extinguish the blaze.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that there were no casualties.
