Residents of the Temryuk district of Krasnodar Krai heard a series of powerful explosions near the local port on the night of December 5, followed by a fire. According to eyewitnesses, the incident unfolded amid a massive drone attack that engulfed the southern regions.

Monitoring resources noted an escalation of the threat: at 0:15 AM Moscow time, the Kupol Rossii (Russian Dome) issued a drone alert for the entire Krasnodar Krai. By 0:39 AM, the alert had spread to Tuapse and surrounding areas, and at 0:48 AM, it was repeated for the entire Krasnodar Krai. Locals are sharing footage on social media of flashes in the sky and thick smoke over port infrastructure, where air defense systems are believed to have been activated.
