Military Kyrgyzstan

The hostilities on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have officially ended

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan settled the armed conflict on the border.

Despite the many times broken ceasefire agreements on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the representatives of the two countries finally managed to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict. As follows from the official statements of Bishkek and Dushanbe, to date, hostilities on the border have ended.

Representatives of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan announced that the situation on the border is now completely normalized, and the troops previously deployed here were withdrawn to regulated distances in order not to provoke the opposite side. Representatives of the two countries stressed their commitment to de-escalate the conflict in the region.

It should be noted that to date, no shootings have been observed on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which allowed local residents to return to their homes located in the border areas.

Experts believe that in the near future, representatives of the two countries will conduct a procedure to determine a clear border between the two states in order to avoid military clashes in the future.
