After the statement of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about its readiness to storm the Donbass, the LPNR militias attacked the positions of the Ukrainian army.

After the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that the Ukrainian army was ready to assault the forces of Donbass, the LDNR militias sent their "congratulations" to the Ukrainian military, whose positions are located near the demarcation zone in Donbass, on the day of Ukraine's independence, having destroyed several fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

One soldier was reportedly killed and a second one seriously wounded as a result of gunfire from the militia. At the same time, sources report that the reason for the attack by the LDNR forces could have been the provocation of Ukrainian servicemen who opened fire in the direction of the militia positions, although there are no official statements on this from the representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

Experts note that today the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass are very limited, even despite the numerical superiority of the Ukrainian army.

Considering that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out an offensive, their losses will be so huge that even if they succeed in liberating the territories of the DPR and LPR in Ukraine, a full-scale rebellion may begin, not to mention that if the militias succeed in taking the 80 thousandth army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass surrounded, then the Ukrainian forces will be simply destroyed ", - the analyst notes.
