Footage from the An-2 emergency landing site in Yakutia has been published

Footage from the site of the An-2 aircraft's emergency landing on May 19, 2026, in Yakutia has surfaced online. The footage shows the aircraft's heavily damaged and charred fuselage lying in the middle of a forested area.

The An-2 took off from the village of Tyoply Klyuch, but the pilot soon decided to return to the departure airport. Contact with the aircraft was subsequently lost. The preliminary cause of the emergency landing is believed to be engine failure.

The plane caught fire after a hard landing. Three people were injured in the incident. It was previously reported that there were eight people on board; all of them left the plane on their own after landing and walked toward the village. Rescuers have been dispatched to the scene.
