Early in the morning in Grozny, at about 5 o'clock, an explosion occurred on the territory of the Akhmat Kadyrov Patrol and Guard Service of Special Police (PPSN) regiment. According to preliminary data, the incident could have been caused by an attack by a Ukrainian kamikaze drone.
Russian sources, in particular the Telegram channel "Military Informant", have distributed videos showing damage to the roof of one of the buildings on the regiment's territory. Judging by the published footage, the strike caused significant destruction, but there is no information about casualties yet. There were also no official comments from local authorities or representatives of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs at the time of publication of the news.
The incident was a continuation of a wave of attacks using drones that have been regularly recorded in Russia in recent months. Previously, drones hit infrastructure and military facilities in various regions of the country, including the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions.
Experts note that the increased use of drones is one of the key elements of Ukraine's strategy aimed at creating a threat deep within Russian territory.
