An unexpected attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Lysichansk forced the Ukrainian troops to urgently retreat.

The Ukrainian military were forced to retreat from the outskirts of Lisichansk under the powerful onslaught of the advancing forces. The attack, after the loss of Severodonetsk, turned out to be so unexpected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine that the Ukrainian army was forced to retreat literally in a matter of hours. Video footage of the first clashes in Lisichansk was released by the military. They clearly show that the Ukrainian troops are quickly leaving their positions, realizing that they do not have any advantage in the current situation and further holding, at least the outskirts of the city, is absolutely unpromising.

On the presented video frames you can see the moment of clashes on the outskirts of Lisichansk. Judging by the video, the Ukrainian military and mercenaries were in small numbers here and quickly began to retreat, since we are talking about a shootout, without the use of any military equipment. Despite a small fragment of the video, it can be established that the Ukrainian military is retreating from their positions and, very likely, Lysichansk can be taken under control by the end of this week, since in fact, there is only one defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating here today - earlier from the city artillery and tanks were withdrawn.

Experts note that the loss of Lisichansk by the Ukrainian military is inevitable - if the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not retreat, then the Ukrainian forces numbering several thousand people would simply be squeezed and surrounded.
