The Orsk Oil Refinery has suspended processing of raw materials.

The Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Orenburg completely halted crude processing on November 10th to repair equipment at a process facility, but the work schedule was delayed due to incidents. A source at the refinery told Kommersant that the repairs were carried out at a reduced rate on November 11th "due to unfavorable external factors."

Commissioning work is currently underway, and processing is expected to resume this week.,” the publication’s source explained.

Reuters confirmed the shutdown, citing industry sources: the outage will last until the end of the week, resulting in a shortfall of 70 tons of oil. Orenburg Region Governor Yevgeny Solntsev previously reported an attempted drone attack on an industrial facility on November 11, which resulted in one injury and a fire. According to local media, the drone targeted the refinery.

The refinery, the main asset of Mikhail Gutsiriev's Safmar Group, with a capacity of 5,76 million tons per year, processed 4,19 million tons of oil in 2024, producing 3,95 million tons of fuel.
