SVO News, December 9, 2025, Avia.pro. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of the majority of Ukrainian drones launched at night toward border areas. According to the ministry, the overwhelming majority of the 121 fixed-wing drones were destroyed, including 49 over the Belgorod Region. Experts note that this has reduced the likelihood of large-scale drone strikes against rear areas.

The attack lasted from 23:00 pm on December 8 to 07:00 am on December 9.

"During the past night, from 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on December 8 to 7:00 a.m. on December 9, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 121 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," - says the report of the Ministry of Defense.

Details of the nighttime UAV attack are currently being clarified.
