“It’s a kilometer from the line where our control ends, to the end of Marinka, to the city limits”: Sladkov announced the ongoing battles for Marinka

Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov denied information about complete control over the village of Marinka. Sladkov clarified that although Russian troops have indeed advanced, they still have about a kilometer to go before they completely take control of Marinka.

Sladkov stated:

“It’s a kilometer from the line where our control ends to the end of Marinka, to the city limits. We still have a kilometer to storm Marinka.”.

He also noted that a recent attempt to bypass Marinka was unsuccessful due to problems with artillery reconnaissance equipment.

Sladkov expressed confidence that Marinka would eventually be brought under control, after which Russian troops would focus on important strategic targets such as Kurakhovo and Krasnogorovka. In his opinion, this will provide an opportunity to put pressure on the Ukrainian army and will facilitate further actions in Avdiivka, which plays a key role in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass.

Earlier it became known about the recent advance of Russian troops by 400 meters during the rotation of Ukrainian forces, which provided a strategic advantage for the future assault on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Marinka.
