Stanislav Syrsky, the 86-year-old father of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, left a medical center in the Moscow region on October 28, the SHOT Telegram channel reported.
The pensioner had been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor and Parkinson's disease, both previously diagnosed. His condition worsened in April after COVID-19: he was initially admitted to a public hospital in Vladimir, then, at his son's request, transferred to private clinics in Moscow and the Moscow region.
Alexander Syrsky personally transferred funds from Ukraine to pay the bills and secretly arranged for his father's transportation home to the Vladimir region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief's parents live in Russia, support Moscow's position on the Central Military District, and previously participated in the Immortal Regiment march.
Syrsky Sr. will now continue supportive therapy at home. The family has not communicated with their son due to political differences.
