According to Indian media, the fault was caused by inadequate behavior of a passenger who unlocked her husband's phone and found evidence of his treason in the mobile device.

Initially, the passenger threw a scandal, and after attempts by the crew members to calm her down, she announced her readiness to seize the aircraft with a view to its further study.
