A Nepalese Sourya Airlines plane crashed at Kathmandu airport with 19 people on board.
A tragedy occurred at Kathmandu International Airport this morning when a Nepalese Sourya Airlines plane crashed while attempting to land. There were 19 people on board, including crew and passengers.
The plane, operating a domestic flight from Pokhara to the capital of Nepal, crashed on the runway. Eyewitnesses report that during landing the ship began to tilt sharply, after which it collided with the ground.
Rescue services immediately arrived at the scene, began eliminating the consequences of the crash and began attempting to rescue those on board.
Nepal's Ministry of Civil Aviation has already set up a special commission to investigate the incident. According to the Minister of Civil Aviation, all possible versions will be considered, including technical faults, crew errors and weather conditions.
