A Pentagon spokesman at a closed briefing for the American media said that the United States did not provide Ukraine with missiles capable of striking Crimea and attempts to link the recent explosions on the territory of the Saki military airfield in the west of the Crimean peninsula with the United States are false.

The briefing was held against the background of the fact that the United States began to suspect that it was against the background of the supply of American weapons to Ukraine that explosions occurred at a military airbase in Crimea, although the official version of what happened had already been voiced by the Russian Ministry of Defense earlier - the detonation of ammunition was to blame.

“The United States did not give Ukraine any weapons that could strike at the Saki airfield in Crimea”, - said American journalist Jeff Seldin, referring to a statement by a representative of the US Department of Defense.

A little earlier, satellite images appeared showing the consequences of the detonation of ammunition at the Saki military airfield. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, there are no casualties or damage to equipment, however, no information has yet been provided about damage to the infrastructure of the military airfield.
