Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said Ukraine already has significant capabilities to carry out long-range strikes on Russian targets, beyond the ATACMS and Storm Shadow systems. According to him, the Ukrainian armed forces have their own developments that allow them to carry out attacks on objects at a significant distance, which significantly expands their combat capabilities.
Ukraine’s Western allies, particularly France and the United Kingdom, have also provided significant support to Ukraine, having given the go-ahead for the use of SCALP and Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles. These missiles, which can strike deep into Russian territory, have become an important part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ arsenal.
