There are no plans for a truce with Ukraine next year

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said that Russia is not planning a truce with Ukraine next year, and the goals of the special military operation will be achieved.

Ryabkov stressed that Russia does not intend to negotiate with either Ukraine or the United States, since they are proposing Zelensky’s so-called “peace formula,” which involves the withdrawal of troops to the 1991 borders, the return of all territories and the payment of reparations.

“Not only do I not expect a truce, I expect that the goals of the North Military District will certainly be achieved.”- said Ryabkov

Ryabkov said in an interview with Izvestia that no agreements are possible under such conditions, and dialogue with the West and Ukraine is unrealistic at the moment. He added that Russia has its own vision of the situation and will continue to carry out the tasks of the special military operation. Moscow is ready to consider adequate and constructive proposals from the West, if any. However, according to Ryabkov, at the moment the West is not yet ripe for such proposals.
