The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will receive the first "Arctic" helicopter by the end of the month.

The first helicopter, oriented to operation in severe Arctic conditions of Mi-8AMTSH-VA, has already passed all necessary tests, including in low-temperature conditions, and will soon be able to join the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Previously Avia.pro aviation resource already reported that the Russian army will be supplemented in the near future by aircraft suitable for operation in critical low temperature conditions, and it is assumed that at least 8 of such aircraft will be built in the whole territory of Russia.

It is necessary to clarify that it was originally intended to purchase such aircraft from other countries, however, due to the unsatisfactory flight performance, it was decided to produce its own production machines.
