The Russian Air Force will replenish the “Doomsday plane”.

It was this name that was assigned to the Il-80 aircraft, which is an air command post for controlling troops in the event of a similar need. As noted by Russian aircraft manufacturers, the second-generation aircraft has already successfully passed all the necessary tests, and by the end of this year it will be transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The new generation of the “Doomsday Plane” has more effective flight characteristics, and in its essence makes it possible to provide command of all types of troops, including strategic troops, which in turn increases the weight of the Russian army on the world stage.

Information portal Avia.pro emphasizes the fact that at the moment such equipment is only in service with the United States of America.
