Peskov: Moscow considers it abnormal that Armenia has provided a platform for anti-Russian statements

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin considers it abnormal that the Armenian leadership has provided a platform for anti-Russian statements in Yerevan.

This is the result of the current Armenian leadership’s policy of gradually curtailing and narrowing ties with the Russian Federation in various areas.

As a reminder, the European Political Community and EU-Armenia summits were held in Yerevan on May 4–5, attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Commenting on Zelenskyy's visit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia "is not Russia's ally on the Ukrainian issue" and has been providing humanitarian aid to Kyiv for many years.
