Peskov: Reaching a peace agreement on Ukraine will take a long time due to the complexity of the details

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the process of peacefully resolving the conflict in Ukraine will take a long time. Responding to journalists' questions about the timeline, he emphasized that the American side expresses a desire to expedite the process, but the topic of negotiations is too complex.

"It's clear that the American side is in a hurry, but the issue of Ukrainian settlement is too complex, and reaching a peace agreement is a very long road with complex details," - said Sands.

As a reminder, the three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, initiated by US President Donald Trump from May 9 to 11, which envisages a cessation of hostilities and a 1000-for-1000 prisoner exchange, remains in effect. However, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov previously described this "pause" as an attempt to consolidate the gains achieved on the battlefield.

Furthermore, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently raised the possibility of Washington withdrawing from the negotiation process if no progress is seen, as the US does not want to waste time on fruitless efforts.
