Peskov said that now is “war time” and censorship is needed

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed his opinion on the need for censorship and tough actions on the part of the authorities in wartime conditions. He stated this during his communication with journalists, TASS reports.

Peskov stressed that the current conditions, which he described as “very tough” and “wartime,” require government agencies to take tough measures. In his opinion, in such conditions, censorship and certain rules that may be unacceptable in peacetime become mandatory attributes of public life.

The question of the distinction between criticism and discrediting the army remains open, and Peskov admitted that this line is “very thin.” He recommended that those wishing to speak out on this topic should “think twice” beforehand, especially if they do not have a full understanding of the situation.
