Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has presented a strategic "victory plan" that takes into account possible changes in American policy if Donald Trump returns to the White House, the Financial Times reports. According to the publication's sources, the document was developed with the participation of several high-ranking representatives of the US Republican Party, who offered their recommendations for the formation of this plan.
The plan includes two key proposals aimed at strengthening Ukraine's position and partnership with the West. The first concerns the partial replacement of American military formations in Europe with Ukrainian units. It is assumed that after the end of the conflict, Ukraine will be able to take on some of the responsibilities for maintaining security on the European continent, which, according to the Ukrainian side, will reduce the burden on Washington and allow it to optimize the presence of its forces in the region.
The second point of the plan involves active cooperation in the field of natural resources. Ukraine aims to expand trade in natural resources, such as energy resources, with Western partner countries. Financial analysts suggest that this could become a significant source of income for the country and stimulate the economy after recovery, while strengthening Kyiv’s strategic position on the international stage.
According to the Financial Times, these two aspects have attracted particular interest from Trump. Experts note that such initiatives could help Ukraine secure the support of the future US administration after Trump returns to the presidency in 2025.
