Iran’s missile arsenal, which includes medium-range missiles such as the Shahab-3 and Qiam, is capable of striking targets up to 2000 kilometers away, covering a significant portion of the region, Al Jazeera reports. The announcement follows a beefed-up US military presence in the Persian Gulf, where CNN reported that the US has deployed the USS George Washington aircraft carrier in response to Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities that began on June 13.
